Le mie origini mediterranee mi portano spesso a ricercare luoghi che profumano di sale, in cui il calore del sole asciuga le lacrime e il vento avvolge come una carezza, plasmandoti.
Questo è quello che è successo alle foglie (pale) di fico d’india: in base alla quantità di esposizione al sole e al vento a cui è stato sottoposto il fico d’india durante la sua crescita, la fibra contenuta all’interno della foglia (pala) si è trasformata in un esile reticolato capace di creare trame irripetibili.
L’incontro con questo materiale è stato amore a prima vista, diventando fonte di ispirazione per questa installazione.
Attraverso l’utilizzo di una tecnica innovativa a base di resine, ho voluto esaltare il sistema linfatico nella sua inimitabile, naturale bellezza, rendendolo “immortale”.

My Mediterranean origins often lead me to look for places smelling of salt, where the heat of the sun wipes away the tears and the wind surrounds like a caress, molding you.
This is what happened to the leaves of prickly pears: based on the amount of sun and wind exposure to which the prickly pear was subjected during its growth, the fiber contained within the leaf has been transformed into a thin reticulate enable of creating unique textures.
The encounter with this material was love at first sight, becoming a source of inspiration for this installation.
With the use of an innovative technique based on resins, I wanted to highlight the lymphatic system in its inimitable, natural beauty, making it “immortal”.
